Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Specialist to join our Scrap Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and coordination of supplier agreements, contract management, logistics monitoring, invoicing support, quality claim follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is critical in ensuring that commercial agreements are properly executed, monitored, and maintained while supporting efficient procurement and supply chain operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract and Commercial Agreement Management
- Prepare, issue, and manage contracts with suppliers and production plants.
- Register, maintain, update, open, and close commercial agreements within corporate systems.
- Monitor contract execution, including signatures, special terms and conditions, amendments, and legal inquiries.
- Enter purchase orders into internal systems to generate and maintain contracts.
- Manage and update pricing information and commercial data in accordance with procurement requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Maintain regular communication with domestic and international suppliers.
- Provide suppliers with updates regarding contract status, deliveries, and administrative requirements.
- Manage supplier onboarding processes, including documentation collection, master data maintenance, supplier extensions, and system updates.
Delivery and Logistics Monitoring
- Monitor daily deliveries to the Olaberria and Bergara scrap yards.
- Ensure all incoming deliveries correspond to valid commercial agreements and purchase orders.
- Manage the issuance and distribution of delivery notes to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Coordinate logistics-related information concerning maritime and land transportation activities.
Cargo Tracking and Claims Management
- Record vessel and cargo information within corporate databases.
- Register and maintain surveyor reports and quality inspection records.
- Distribute SGS and surveyor reports to suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
- Calculate commercial and quality claims in accordance with contractual terms.
- Prepare final claim reports, settlement calculations, and supplier communications.
Quality Management Support
- Coordinate quality-related issues between suppliers, Scrap Yard Management, and the Procurement team.
- Provide information and support for the resolution of quality deviations, non-conformities, and claims.
Internal Coordination and Process Improvement
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Controlling, Operations, Logistics, and IT departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency within procurement and contract management processes.
International Contract Administration
- Coordinate contract and purchase order information for deliveries to Olaberria, Sestao, Avilés, Gijón, Fos-sur-Mer, Hamburg, Ghent, Dunkirk and Bremen.
- Support the creation of framework contracts in SAP and the generation of order references within local procurement systems.
