Our Education Centres are the heart of everything we do. 🎯 Role Overview Estepona is one of our most established and beloved locations — a flagship of what the Boundless model is. The Education Centre Director who joins here will inherit something that is already working and will be responsible for taking it further. This is a role for a leader who can come into an existing team, earn trust quickly, raise the bar through coaching and consistency, and build on strong foundations without disrupting what is already good. You are not here to reinvent. You are here to lead, deepen, and improve. As Education Centre Director, you are the educational leader of the location. You are responsible for how the learning happens and how it is brought to life by your team. You know your educators deeply, coach them continuously, hold high standards, and ensure every cohort delivers on the Boundless promise. You will report directly to the General Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Head of Education Excellence. This structure allows you to focus primarily on pedagogical leadership, instructional coaching, and developing your educator team, while the General Manager owns the broader location operations. The role demands someone who is energised by that scale, not overwhelmed by it. 💼 What You'll Do Educator Leadership and Team Development - Lead, coach, and manage an established team of educators through structured 1:1s, regular classroom observations, and direct, specific feedback - Set clear expectations for performance and conduct from day one, address gaps independently, and build individual development plans for every member of the team - Hold a high bar consistently — this means celebrating what is working and naming what is not, without waiting for a formal review cycle - Build and maintain a team culture that is engaged and resilient through an intense cohort calendar and a demanding daily schedule - Contribute to hiring decisions alongside the Head of Education Excellence when the team expands or changes Curriculum Execution and Educational Quality - Ensure the Boundless curriculum is implemented consistently and with fidelity to our global methodology and standards — you do not design the curriculum, you make sure it comes to life as intended - Ensure project-based and place-based learning happen on the ground, incorporating the extraordinary context of the location meaningfully and in alignment with global curriculum standards - Observe classes regularly and give educators specific, actionable feedback that leads to real change - Surface implementation challenges to the global education team and bring solutions alongside them Family Relationships - Serve as a trusted, visible presence for families — including those who are returning to Boundless and have high expectations of the experience - Handle family concerns and escalations independently and with confidence, without unnecessary escalation to global leadership - Contribute to a strong admissions and intake experience that sets every cohort up well Running the Education Centre - Lead the essential day-to-day running of the Education Centre in close partnership with the General Manager and central teams. - Own educator administration, family communication, safeguarding, and the smooth delivery of ECAs and field trips. - Support local partners, systems and practical centre needs where required, while keeping educational leadership and people development as the priority. - You will be involved in the Boundless Summer Camp cohorts, maintaining the same standards of team leadership and family experience. 🧠 You'll Be Valued For - You bring an entrepreneurial spirit: resourceful, proactive and comfortable building solutions in a fast-moving environment without waiting for a complete playbook. - You have meaningful supervisory experience and have directly led, coached and developed staff. Experience leading a microschool or similarly hands-on learning environment is especially valuable because it requires a holistic view of people, pedagogy, families and day-to-day delivery. - You are aligned with non-traditional education and understand project-based and experiential learning in practice, not only in theory. - You are a people developer. You have managed a team, conducted observations and given specific feedback, had hard performance conversations independently, and genuinely made the people around you better. Coaching your team is not a task on your list — it is the work. - You know what excellent curriculum execution looks like. You can observe a learning environment, see clearly what is and is not working, and give an educator specific and honest feedback. You understand PBL and place-based learning as practices, not just frameworks. - You earn trust in established environments. You do not arrive and immediately try to change everything. You listen first, build credibility, and lead from within the culture — while still being willing to raise the bar and name what needs to improve. - You are exceptional with families. The location has returning families who love this community. You can hold difficult conversations, manage high expectations, and maintain trust even when something has gone wrong. - You are energised by scale and intensity. Sixty to seventy students, an international team, a packed cohort calendar, and a community of families who are living and working alongside each other. This is the environment you thrive in. - Spanish language skills or a connection to Spain are a genuine asset for this role. 📈 What Success Looks Like In three months: you have earned the trust of the team, completed a full round of classroom observations, every educator is clear on what is expected of them, and families feel the leadership of the EC is strong and present.
