Derivatives Electrical Installation Designer

Descripción de puesto: Introduction: An opportunity for a Derivatives Electrical Installation Designer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). Brief description of the department´s mission: The selected candidate will join the Electrical System Installation Design Engineering team, contributing to the definition and integration of the aircraft electrical system, with a particular focus on the physical installation of electrical systems within the aircraft. The role focuses on transforming electrical requirements and definitions into solutions that can be physically integrated into the aircraft, considering the location of electrical equipment, harnesses and the constraints associated with aircraft installation. The position involves close collaboration with different engineering teams and technical stakeholders throughout the design and integration process. RESPONSIBILITIES: The main tasks of the jobholder will be: - Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations, from architecture and detailed design phases through manufacturing support and in-service activities. - Translate electrical requirements into physically feasible and integrable installation solutions within the aircraft. - Define the location, routing and integration of electrical elements and equipment, taking into account aircraft installation constraints and applicable design principles. - Develop and work on electrical installation designs using CATIA, following the relevant regulations, installation processes, methods, tools and procedures. - Collaborate closely with electrical definition teams and other engineering departments to ensure consistency between electrical requirements and their physical implementation in the aircraft. - Interface with different technical stakeholders, adapting installation solutions to changes arising throughout the aircraft design, manufacturing and in-service phases. We are looking forward to knowing you: - Education: Engineering degree or a related discipline. - Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in Engineering. Previous experience related to electrical installation design and aircraft systems integration will be highly valued. - Technical knowledge: Experience with CATIA, particularly applied to installation design and integration activities. - Soft skills: High adaptability and an open-minded approach to work on evolving technical topics and changing requirements. Ability to work effectively in a network mode and interact with different departments and stakeholders. - Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, discuss technical solutions and propose new ideas. - Languages: Professional level of Spanish and approximately B2 level of English, sufficient to participate in meetings, interact professionally and contribute to transnational projects when required. - Valuable / Nice to have: Previous experience in electrical system installation design within the aeronautical sector and experience working in complex aircraft integration environments.
