We are seeking a Biomedical Technologists to join our team and provide biomedical services onboard cruise ships. Responsibilities : - Install, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment onboard cruise ships in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements. - Monitor the performance and functionality of medical devices, ensuring optimal operation and adherence to quality standards in a maritime environment. - Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address issues proactively, considering the unique challenges of operating at sea. - Perform troubleshooting and repairs on biomedical equipment, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions while onboard. - Monitor equipment recalls and safety alerts, coordinating with manufacturers and regulatory agencies as necessary to ensure compliance and passenger safety. - Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history onboard cruise ships. - Source OEM parts and components as needed for equipment maintenance and repairs, considering logistics challenges associated with maritime operations. - Collaborate with onboard medical staff, ship engineers, and other stakeholders to support the effective use of medical technology and ensure passenger care continuity during voyages. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field. Relevant certifications or training programs may be considered. - Proven experience in biomedical equipment management, including installation, maintenance, and repairs in a maritime environment or similar challenging conditions. - Strong technical skills and familiarity with a wide range of medical devices and equipment. - Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to biomedical equipment management, with an understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to the unique challenges of working onboard cruise ships. - Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders in a maritime setting. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively while onboard cruise ships, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment.
