Accounts Payable Specialist About the role We’re looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key role in keeping our accounts payable operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for validating supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and executing payment batches while working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters. What you’ll do - Manage and validate supplier invoices : Receive, review, and validate invoices, ensuring they comply with company policies and tax regulations. Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts, record them in the accounting system, and obtain the necessary approvals before payment. - Resolve discrepancies : Investigate issues such as incorrect pricing, quantity mismatches, missing documentation, or pending approvals. Work directly with suppliers and internal teams to resolve them efficiently. - Own AP reconciliations : Reconcile supplier statements, review outstanding accounts payable balances, and ensure invoices are correctly recorded and paid on time. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. - Support accounting closing processes : Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end and year-end closing, helping ensure AP transactions and supplier accounts are accurately recorded and reconciled, and preparing reports when needed. - Execute payments : Prepare and process payment batches according to our scheduled payment cycles, ensuring every payment is accurate and compliant with company guidelines. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: 📚 Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 💼 Experience: - 2-3 years in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role. - Experience with Spanish laws and financial regulations related to accounts payable is required. 💻 Technical Skills: - Advanced level of English and Microsoft Excel (a test will be conducted during the selection process). - Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus. 🧠 Key Strengths: - Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to challenges. - Strong analytical skills , problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. - Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers Why Hellotickets?: 4-Day Work Week 🌟: A true 4-day work week(because we love what we do, but we also love time off!)
